For the past 14 years the Bonsai Societies of Florida and Walt Disney World have worked together to put on a world class Bonsai (and now Penjing) display during their International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. The festival has grown over the years and now attracts nearly 2 million visitors just for the Festival alone. To facilitate this grand display, the Bonsai Societies of Florida accepts applications throughout the year from bonsai artists to submit pictures of their trees to be considered for the show.

In 2008, the festival will be extended to run a whole 10 weeks! This is the longest festival so far, starting on March 19th and ending June 1st. The only stipulation for displaying the trees is that they meet the minimum height requirement of 30 inches.
